Sleeping Giants

The Precious is not a heli-skiing movie, it’s athletic backbone is not composed of big-name hollywood riders. In stay of the hype, Storm Show’s 2003 movie release features a soulful group of Jackson locals skiing big-mountain lines with big consequences, simply to get it out of their system, and have one less line to haunt them at night. Highlights include skier Joel Tate’s near-fatal avalanche slide, Backcountry excursions to The Cirque of The Towers in the Wind River Range of Wyoming, and classic snowboard descents of formidable Teton Peaks including Mt. Wister, The Middle Teton, and The Grand Teton. Showcases local snowboarders and skiers of Jackson Hole negotiating technical lines and first descents in the JH backcountry. This is not a jib flick or heli-skiing movie, just a soulful group of Jackson best riders.
